Sacred / to the memory of Charles Greaves / wine and spirit merchant who / died Oct 25th 1833 aged 49 years / He was an affectionate husband and parent / his ready will combined with an excellent / taste for music and poetry rendered him an / interesting and agreeable companion / and he departed this life reposing in / penitent faith on the merits of that divine / redeemer who came into the world to / seek and to give that which was lost / also of Hannah his wife / born August 13th 1788 died / March 30th 1840 / also of three of their sons viz / William born August 27th 1815 / died April 13th 1841 / Charles Launcelot born May 27th / 1808 died June 21st 1809 and / Edward born August 3rd / and died 17th 1825 / the two last named were interred / in St. Mary's burial ground / also of Eleanor daughter of the / above named William Greaves / born August 24. 1840 / died July 26th 1844.
