The FOUNTAINS of Haigh Hall sank Haigh Pit. Later moved to Birthwaite Hall and sank Woolley Colliery Pit, in partnership with George John Burnley, who first lived at Birthwaite. Possibly FOUNTAINS took the Hall on Burnley's death. Annie Christine [see J 6 ] married William Sutherland who after this marriage managed the mine for her.
