near building are pieces of old gravestones. In the East end of the
Church wall is a Saxon Cross.

leaves sculptured down left side and holly down right side. A spray
of flowers at centre top.

the soul away / Thro' Deaths Domain to realms of endless day. Reverse,
Oval inset near top, with Cross, trumpets and scrolls.

Ivy leaf motif in broad border around pointed top. Oval near top with
flowers and leaf inset. The oval is length wise vertically inside the
pointed top. First line of inscription shaped between oval and border.

Section 2 Obelisk type on solid plinth. Brown marble
column at each corner. Tall finial decorated with acanthus leaves. Church
window effect at each side enclosing inscription.

/ of Cawthorne / Who died in the Lord Oct. 7th 1828 / Aged 28 years.
