of a woman on one bended knee, one hand across her breast, the other
holding the top of an anchor with it's foot resting in front of her
bended knee. A raised head of Portland stone in a pointed arch is in
front of the pedestal. Leaf decorations at sides.

Swift family were sculptors and builders. An elderly member of the family
told the recorder that the white stone used here and at High Hoyland
Churchyard was Portland stone.
